As a charitable organization, Crossroads strives to meet our mission in the most outstanding manner while keeping our tuition as low as possible. As an independent specialty school we operate without financial support from local, state and federal entities and depend greatly on contributions to expand and deepen our work. The combined efforts of our donors each year offer our students immediate opportunities inside and outside the classroom, directly impact our current programs and services and support the building of our new facility. We take great pride in developing and maintaining relationships with a wide network of people that are equality committed to the Crossroads mission. These dedicated people support us with volunteering, giving charitable gifts and promoting the school.
We hope that our parents, grandparents and friends choose to develop a Family Giving Plan which includes:
Our Annual Giving Drive is a year-long fundraising effort. Donations allow the school to fund expanding programs, develop new projects and support operational expenses not covered by tuition.
The Gala is a special event held annually to raise unrestricted fund for campus improvements and general operating needs. The Gala is also geared towards raising awareness of our mission and our role in the community. It is attended by our sponsors, families and friends.
The Corporate Matching Funds Program is a wonderful method by which any donation of monetary value is matched fully or partially by the donor's employer. Check with your Human Resources Department to see if they have a program or would be willing to start one. This is a fabulous way to double what you are able to give.
In order to share our mission with as many students as possible, tuition is kept to a minimum and only covers necessary costs. Additional costs such as program development and financial aid are suppoted by fundraising efforts and donations through our Annual Giving Drive, Gala and Corporate Matching Funds.
The Capital Campaign raises money for our new campus. All Capital donations are restricted to this one goal and maintained separate from the school's annual operating fund. However, a donation to both campaigns is very powerful since the foudnations we apply to for funding place great emphasis on 100% participation from our families.
Potential donors include individuals, foundations and corporations who have an interest and means to support the education of students with special needs. Prospective donors usually require an introduction to our organization before they will consider bestowing a gift so we are dependent on our parents and friends to reach out on our behalf. While a one time gift is always appreciated, we strive to establish long term relationships with those in our community who support our mission.
Crossroads School operates as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization; therefore, gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by the law.
