We invite you to contact us via the link below if you want to request more information or have any questions about the application and enrollment process.
In line with our teaching philosophy, we serve our parents with the same individualized approach as we do our students. All admissions inquiries and tours are conducted on an individual basis in order to address each family’s needs. We make every effort to learn as much as possible about your child and answer all of your questions.
The admissions process begins with a telephone call where basic information is shared. If it is determined that your child would benefit from our school programs, a parent interview is scheduled. During this meeting, parents/guardians share additional information about their child and have the opportunity to ask questions and tour the school.
Following the parent interview and payment of an admissions fee, a one-day classroom visit for the potential student is arranged. This visit allows the child to experience a “typical” school day, become familiar with our routines and expectations, and play alongside other students. A current student is selected to be the visiting child’s “buddy” and serves as a guide and friend. This is a special privilege for our existing students and is carried out with great pride. In turn, the school’s faculty has an opportunity to informally assess the child’s difficulties and ability to work in a classroom environment.
At the end of the visit, the faculty member overseeing the child’s prospective placement meets with the parents/guardians to provide feedback. If an offer of placement is made and accepted, directions on how to access the admissions online portal are given. This system allows for the enrollment forms to be completed and all required documents to be uploaded and enrollment fees to be paid.
Please note:
*Crossroads School welcomes all inquiries and accepts students year round if a suitable place is available.
*Returning students are given priority in the yearly enrollment process and then new applicants are taken on a first-come, first served basis.
One of the ways Crossroads School supports students and parents is by providing information about the psycho-educational evaluations that we ask to accompany enrollment.
A psycho-educational evaluation is a thorough assessment of the child’s intellectual and academic functioning. These assessments are invaluable to faculty members in that they provide important information for the development of each child’s individualized educational plan and/or social/emotional program.
Since these evaluations are so beneficial, we require incoming students to supply the school with a psycho-educational evaluation completed within the last three years. In order to keep abreast of any significant changes, existing students are required to provide the school with an updated report every three years (from last date of testing).
Below, you will find two excellent articles about psycho-educational testing. We strongly encourage you to read them and contact us with any questions you may have.

Crossroads School has an established history of providing financial aid that can bridge the gap between what the family can afford and tuition. Priority is given to existing families. Crossroads is committed to ensuring that an existing student should not have to leave due to sudden financial distress. Remaining funding is then distributed to incoming families in need.
Discussion and application for financial aid is conducted initially with the Director of Admissions and then considered by the financial aid committee.
Every student enrolled at Crossroads School is immunized against vaccine preventable diseases caused by infectious agents in accordance with the immunization schedule adopted by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Attendance at Crossroads School is contingent on students being current on all required immunizations.
Prior to the first day of school, all students must present valid written evidence from their treating physician (M.D. or D.O.), reflecting that all required immunizations have been received. The treating physician must be licensed to practice in the State of Texas and the physician’s license number must be notated on the immunization documentation. The only exception to the foregoing requirement is a medical exemption signed by the student’s treating physician (M.D. or D.O.). All students requesting a medical exemption must present valid written evidence from their treating physician, reflecting the medical basis for the requested exemption. Crossroads School does not consider conscious-based exemptions or any other exemptions. Statements from the Texas Attorney General “Conscientious Objections or Waivers," which may be permissible for attendance in public schools, do not qualify as an exemption in private schools. A private school that does not accept state tax funds is not required to accept for enrollment a child who has received an exemption for the immunizations required by the Texas Health and Safety Code. (Atty. Gen. OP GA-0420)
